In the Spring we started seeds for Beets, Carrots, Swiss Chard, Lettuce, and Peas. The pea season is over but the other vegetables are doing well!
We will place color-coded sticks in each garden bed (painted red, yellow or green) which will indicate to the kids when each vegetable is ready to be picked. Red means "don't touch: fragile," Yellow: "growing but almost done" and Green: "ready to be picked."
You can find one (or more) of our gardening team outside working in the garden on Friday mornings. Please stop by with any questions and by all means, if you'd like to get involved, please volunteer!
We source our seeds from Southern Exposure Seed Exchange and our compost from 5th Season Gardening. All donations are welcome!
